Jackie passed this award on to me. I was a little surprised by it and wasn't sure about it either. I hadn't seen it before.I'm not really very good at posting on a daily basis. But it's nice that people pop in and check it out from time to time. I have enjoyed meeting new people from all over thru it. So Thank you, Jackie.

I have two more biscornu's finished. This one was a free pattern from Remy, she has quite a few very nice charts. This one is called Jeweled Raindrops and I finished it into a biscornu.
It was stitched on 28 ct linen using DMC floss and put together with seed beads.

This one is from Jill Oxton's Cross Stitch & Beading magazine. There are several pieces that go with this like a needle book, scissor fob and thread bag. Of course I had to do the biscornu first. I'm a little addicted to these things. This one  is stitched on 28ct. ivory  jobelan and using DMC perele cotton.

Exciting Mail Day

I entered a give away on Cheryl's blog and won this . It is really pretty. I have done a little punch needle  before but just didn't pick it up that much. Seeing this makes me want to get my things out and try again.I guess maybe I just wasn't sure how to finish them. It looks like you can finish them just like cross stitch. Anyway just wanted to share this.

I had almost forgot about taking a pic and posting today. It seems to be filling up even though there isn't many pics of finishes. I have been doing biscornu's for the PPTB exchange I'm in. Also working on a few other pieces in between.Just haven't taken progress pics.
I think I will have a look and see how  some others have done on there sal.

Hardangerr, Lesson 1

I subscribe to The Gift of Stitching online magazine and they have started a Hardanger class now through the end of the year each month. I have always wanted to learn how to do it, but my LNS doesn't offer any classes, so I ordered the kit and did lesson 1 over the weekend. It was klosters and eyelets and it seemed easy enough. If only I didn't have to wait until next month for lesson 2.

A Few Finishes

It's been a while since I posted last. Not really  a lot going on, just busy with everyday life. I am managing to stitch. I am continuing to stitch the biscornus for PPTB.  I have April's finished, just need to get it ready to mail off.

I found this blog quite by accident one evening and she was doing a Biscornu Mystere, so I did this one on  28ct. blue Monaco and used hand dyed floss from Ozark Sampler. I'm not sure the color.
She has a very nice blog and I enjoyed doing the SAL.

Another blog I follow is Hohla and she did this one. I did it on 28ct. linen and DMC 125 and Weeks Dye Works Turkish Red.I stitched it closed with red seed beads.
