I joined  Please Pass the Biscornu this year. We are to exchange a biscornu every month  for the year. I can now post a pic of the one I did for January since my parnter has received hers.I did one from  Alexandrina's blog.

Here is the one I received from Mayt'e. It is very pretty . She added beads and a cute little flower button.
She also put both our initials and the year on the back of it.

I bought this basket at a craft festival. I thought it would hold all the biscornu's from the exchange.I have about 2 or 3 small ones filled with biscorn's I have made for myself already.

I have to get started on the  Febuary  biscornu now.

What I've BeenStitching...

I've been stitching a few Biscornu's. I'm doing one a month with a group of ladies on this blog. I have January finished but can't show it yet. I have to get it ready to mail. Pam has a Biscornu of the Month and I stitched  January for myself. I did it on 28ct. linen with the recommended threads.I found a little pink button for the center.

I'm also stitching on a SAL with StitchersShowcase.
We're stitching Bouquet For Cheryl. I haven't taken a pic of my progress yet. I will post when I do.

I also started a piece that Pam has in the March issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework, called Rose Garden. Don't have a lot done but its started. Have a couple of things I need to finish up and a stack of things I want to start. Not enough time or hands.

It's time for this years new TU SAL. I got this vase from the center piece at my husbands Christmas party and I thought it would make a good container for the TU SAL. It's about 101/2" high, gives me plenty of room for the whole  year. Not too much pressure. lol
Til next time.

Finally Framed

I have had these finished for a couple of months now and have finally gotten around to having them framed. I'm really pleased with the outcome. This one is Curly Q Ewe by Little House Needleworks that I did as a SAL with the Little House Needleworks yahoo group.

This one is A Place We Call Home by Country Cottage Needleworks. I think the verse is sweet.

2009 Finish and 2010 Start

I know I'm behind in posting my finish, but it was a bad ending and beginning new year. My SIL passed away on Dec.30 and they had the funeral Jan.2.

I stitched the Stitcher's Sampler from Cross Stitch & Needlework magazine and I am happy with the way it turned out. I used the suggested threads and fabric for it. It's a little wrinkled so I need to press it and decide how I want to frame it.

I belong to Stitcher'sShowcase and joined the 2010 SAL so I have started it. This is what was chosen to stitch, I'm stitching it on 28ct. white jobelan and using DMC variations 4200 floss.
